  • Academic Enrichment Coordinator

    Position Overview

    The Academic Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, and management 
    of INTL’s enrichment programs throughout the year, including after-school enrichment classes, mini-camps, and summer camps, as well as the extended day experience for students. They will work closely with the Elementary School Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, and Elementary School Principal. The Academic Enrichment Coordinator will serve as the director and supervisor of the school’s program instructors. 

    This is a full-time position that will report to the Elementary School Assistant Principal. Compensation is based on educational attainment and years of experience. The salary range for this full-time position for the 2024-25 school year is $70,000 to $82,000.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Academic Enrichment Responsibilities
    • Serve as a dynamic leader, leading the school’s enrichment program, including all outdoor supervision, after-school enrichment programming, and camps. 
    • Plan, design, and implement enrichment and summer programs that align with the school's mission and values

      • Extended day programming (remaining on campus until 6 pm daily or until all students have been picked up and staff have departed for the day)
    • Be the direct supervisor to, and provide ongoing training for Extended Day  Program Instructors
    • Collaborate with other school leaders to ensure the enrichment, extended care, and summer programs are integrated with the academic program and respond to the changing trends and needs of the school community
      • Find and engage enrichment offerings, develop enrichment catalog, manage the registration/withdrawal processes
      • Parent communication: enrichment catalog, schedule changes, camp updates, registration

    School day responsibilities
    • Model and support the implementation of the school’s vision and goals
    • Communicate and work closely with the Dean of Students and Elementary School Principal and Assistant Principal to oversee student life
    • Serve as visible, active and engaged leaders outdoors- proactively engaging with students, assisting in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and building relationships with all members of the community 
    • Act as an on call substitute teacher as needed
    • Provide small group or individual student support as requested by the Elementary School Principal 
    • Assist the principal in serving parents, faculty, and student groups, as requested, in advancing educational activities and objectives.
    • Collaborate with teachers and program staff to ensure effective communication and engagement with parents and families regarding program activities, student progress, and other related matters
    • Assist with administrative tasks directed by the Elementary School Principal and Elementary School Assistant Principal.
    • Other duties as assigned 

    Leadership Responsibilities
    • Ensure all programs meet health and safety standards and adhere to school policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and financials
    • Responsible for procuring necessary equipment, supplies, and materials for all programs, ensuring that all purchases are within budget and in compliance with school policies and procedures
    • Manage all program-related inquiries and concerns, responding promptly and professionally to all communication from parents, students, and staff
    • Conduct ongoing evaluation and assessment of all programs to ensure effectiveness and make improvements as necessary

    Position and Qualification

    • Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
    • Experience working in a school and with enrichment programs
    • Previous leadership experience running afterschool programs, enrichment or licensed programs 
    • Teaching experience preferred but not required
    • An administrative leadership style based on effective human relations and a capacity to work effectively in a multicultural environment with an understanding and appreciation for diversity
    • Excellent communication and listening skills

    Compensation and Benefits
    Our compensation is based on education and years of experience. The salary range for this full-time position for the 2024-25 school year is $70,000 to $82,000, depending on experience.

  • Administrative Assistant

    Silicon Valley International School is currently looking for a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Business Office, and the Principal.  The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a school environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population.

    The Administrative Assistant's primary role will be to provide administrative support to the CFO, coordinate their schedule, and assist in the preparation of meeting materials and minutes of various committee meetings. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will provide support to the CFO and  Principal in a wide range of office and school operations, coordinate and organize office activities, and coordinate the flow of communications and information for the Principal as needed.

    The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000 and is based on your relevant experience and education. This is a fully beneficial position that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan. In addition, the school offers generous paid time off, which will help maintain a healthy work-life balance.
     
    Primary Responsibilities
    • Provide administrative support to the CFO and business office, including but not limited to:
      • Assist in the coordination of the CFO's schedule

  • Campus Security Monitor -Willows Campus

    Silicon Valley International School is seeking to immediately fill the role of Campus Security Monitor for our Willows Campus, which supports our Preschool/Pre-K, Middle, and High Schools.

    The ideal candidate is service-oriented, has strong situational awareness, and is respectful and adaptable. Campus Service Monitors (CSMs) respond to calls and provide information to individuals seeking inquiries; patrol assigned areas by foot; enforce school, state, and local policies and regulations; and report hazards to the Site Facilities Manager (SFM).
     
    Under the general direction of the Upper and Preschool Principals or assigned school Administrators, the CSM will conduct various security services for the Willows Campus. Their job is to ensure the safety of students, staff, faculty, and property. They should be able to maintain order, enforce rules and regulations governing student conduct, and serve as liaisons between site administrators and other faculty or staff assigned to that location.
     
    The essential duties of this role are to patrol the school campus, including adjacent field and parking lot areas, on foot, circulating among school personnel and students to detect and prevent improper conduct, damage to furnishings or facilities, theft, injuries, unsafe situations, and substance abuse; report persons bullying others to appropriate administrative personnel; and report safety hazards observed at sites while on patrol.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Greet all visitors, students, faculty, and staff members in a welcoming manner. 
    • Monitor for vandalism, theft, and trespassing on school property
    • Ensure all high school students, faculty, and staff are visibly displaying their ID cards to enable quick verification and identification and challenge those individuals without ID.
    • Inform school administration of unauthorized individuals on campus.
    • Informs SFM of incidents and potential hazards or safety issues.
    • Monitor and report any unusual or strange behavior, events, or individuals not in assigned areas, question strangers in the school’s building or campus, promptly convey information, and provide eyewitness information to SFM or other designated administrative personnel.
    • If vandalism occurs, they will collaborate with SFM and the Director of Facilities and Safety to report the incident to the Head of School and/or police.
    • Help with monitoring Upper school students as needed
    • Support the Early Years division by ensuring that all students remain in their designated areas

    Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Experience working in a school setting
    • Ability to follow the site and school policies, procedures, and regulations regarding appropriate student, faculty, and staff behavior on grounds or on campus
    • Knowledge of basic security and safety procedures
    • Interpersonal skills to manage and deal with possible confrontational situations while maintaining a calm, respectful, firm demeanor
    • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and other adults
    • Exercise strict confidentiality of school and student issues
    • Use good judgment in situations affecting campus security

  • Early Years Program- Learning Assistant

    As a Learning Assistant at Silicon Valley International School you will work closely with our international group of teachers to support early years students.  Your primary responsibility is in the safety and social emotional wellbeing of our students. This is a full time position with a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay commensurate with years of experience and generous paid time off.
     
    The Learning Assistant works within the framework of the job description and assignment and makes decisions only within that framework.
     
    Learning Assistants are required to maintain certifications as required by the school and/or Social Services. In addition, they should keep all relevant certifications current. 
     
    This position is an hourly, full-time, non-exempt role that comes with full benefits. You will report to the Director of Licensing and Enrichment Support. The base salary range for this position is between (CO-1) $57,283.00 and (CO-20+) $75,435.00 per year, depending on your years of relevant work experience and educational attainment.
     
    All prospective applicants are required to be inoculated against COVID-19, subject to the provisions for medical or religious exceptions. It should be noted that the school will require substantial documentation to support any requests for exemption.
    Learning-Assistants are expected to:
    • Follow Social Services requirements and stay with the students at all times.

    Silicon Valley International School is seeking a qualified Preschool Learning Assistant who speaks fluent French or German to join the Early Years Program for the academic year 2024-25.
    As a Learning Assistant at INTL, you will work closely with our international group of teachers to support early years students.  Your primary responsibility is to the safety and social-emotional well-being of our students.   • School Bus Driver

    Silicon Valley International School seeks a dependable School Bus Driver to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, between different campuses and extracurricular events (as required), following a specific route, and ensuring the safety of all passengers.

    As a School Bus Driver, you will conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good condition, adhere to safety and traffic regulations during the journey, and maintain order and discipline among students on board. Effective communication with students, parents, and school staff is also expected, including providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

    The successful candidate will have at least a year of experience as a school bus driver. This position requires drivers to follow a split shift schedule from Monday to Friday, which may be subject to change due to operational requirements. It should be noted that during mandatory training periods, the candidates' days off may be adjusted to accommodate scheduled training courses, which may take place on weekends or evenings.

    In summary, a School Bus Driver plays a critical role in providing safe and reliable transportation for students, ultimately contributing to their overall school experience.     Primary Responsibilities

  • Technology Support Specialist

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Silicon Valley International School’s Technical Support Specialist is responsible for supporting students, faculty, staff, and, occasionally, parents of students in using the school’s technology equipment and services. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer and will work closely with the Director of Educational Technology.

    While this position will primarily support our Elementary School (Kindergarten-5th Grade) campus, there will be occasional times when this position will work with other school divisions and our other campus.

    The successful candidates will possess expert knowledge of Apple hardware and software, exceptional technical support and troubleshooting skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for working in a school environment. 
    The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Information Officer. This is a full-time position with a non-exempt hourly rate. The salary will be based on a yearly amount ranging from $78,000 to $90,000 ($37.50 to $43.27) and will depend on relevant work experience and academic attainment. At INTL, we take pride in offering a competitive compensation package that includes six weeks of paid time off, ten days of paid sick leave, and eight school holidays per academic calendar year, including medical, dental, and vision.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • First and second-level technical support related to faculty, staff, and student use of technology, including direct troubleshooting of software, peripherals, and hardware issues.
    • Maintained and troubleshot audio-visual equipment, printers, and other peripherals.
    • Install, upgrade, and configure operating system and software applications on existing and new hardware.
    • Keep accurate inventory of school equipment and document troubleshooting procedures.
    • Monitor help desk tickets and resolve technology issues. 
    • Provide as-needed basic training, written documentation, and continued support to students, faculty, and staff on commonly installed communications and productivity software, including Microsoft Office for Mac, the iWork suite, and the Google Workspace for Education suite.
    • Process the annual iPad and laptop refresh, installations, and distributions.
    • Manage repairs needed on school-owned laptops and technology equipment.
    • Assist when needed with AV set-up for school functions.
    • Coordinates with the Chief Information Officer on technology projects as necessary.
    • Backup coverage of technology infrastructure when the Chief Information Officer is unavailable.
    • Support various departments’ newsletters and LMS content implementation.
    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
    1. A minimum of three years’ experience troubleshooting, supporting, and using current versions of MacOS and iOS in a multi-user environment is required. 
    2. Experience with supporting Google Workspace suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
    3. Basic knowledge of wireless networking implementation, configuration, and security. 
    4. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and communication skills in English.
    5. Very strong customer service skills, even when those customers are students.
    6. Keen attention to detail.
    7. Ability to prioritize, work independently, and complete tasks and obligations in a timely manner.
    8. Extremely well-organized and flexible to allow for unexpected or unscheduled technology issues.
