Lot 9: CSI Crime Lab Experience

Do you have an eye for details and a hunger to find out the truth? Are you fascinated by DNA analysis, preservation of evidence, and AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System)? Have you ever wondered about the science behind criminal investigations and imagine what it would be like to join one of the fictional CSI teams in Miami, Las Vegas, or New York?

The world of CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) can only be observed in person by very few individuals outside of law enforcement. This is your chance to become one of them.

CSI Crime Lab Experience

Do you have an eye for details and a hunger to find out the truth? Are you fascinated by DNA analysis, preservation of evidence, and AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System)? Have you ever wondered about the science behind criminal investigations and imagine what it would be like to join one of the fictional CSI teams in Miami, Las Vegas, or New York?

The world of CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) can only be observed in person by very few individuals outside of law enforcement. This is your chance to become one of them.

Two guests will live this exclusive experience to go behind the scenes and receive a personal tour of the San Mateo County’s Forensic Crime Laboratory. The Lab Director will be your personal tour guide, showing you exactly how science and law combine to
catch the bad guys. You’ll learn about protecting the crime scene, processing evidence, the tools of crime scene analysis, and other behind-the-scenes knowledge!

INTL Alumni Parent Karen Melchior said about the experience, “the tour is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the ‘back office’ of law enforcement. See how DNA samples are handled. Investigate how ballistics tests are done. Get all your questions answered related to arrests, trials, DUIs, and what goes on at the lab in the middle of the night!”
